Hoey wants a happy Oz Day

THE Hoey Moey at Park Beach will do all it can to curb anti-social behaviour on Australia Day, says one of the owners, Twane Voglsinger.

“I’m very conscious of the effects this sort of behaviour has on the community, particularly the Park Beach area,” he said.

“We will have a restriction on bulk-packed alcohol in the bottleshop and we will be paying particular attention to the responsible service of alcohol as well as ensuring alcohol is not supplied to minors.”

Mr Voglsinger said his pub was in full support of what police and the local liquor accord were trying to achieve on the big day.

“None of us wants to see bad behaviour,” he said.
