Hockey players line up for mixed grand final

HOCKEY: Green will play Blue in the mixed grand final this Tuesday night in Warwick hockey.

In the semi on Tuesday night, Green made it to the grand final with a 2-1 victory against Scots. The winning goal by Kate Jordan was in a drop off.

Kate and her father David were the Green goal scorers while Seb Christensen netted for Scots.

The mixed grand final will be played Tuesday night at 6pm between Green and Blue.

Kerri Fitch has been one of the stars for the Blue team this season.

In men's hockey, goalies Lewis Broadhurst (Saints) and Glen Morris (Harlequins) were sensational in goal in the semi final.

Peter Rutledge and Greg Uys scored in the first half for Saints in a 2-1 semi victory against Harlequins. In the second half, Jordan Eastwell scored the goal for Harlequins and despite plenty of short corners, the men in black could not score the leveller.

Uys was the best for Saints while Peter Wallace played strongly for Harlequins.

In the ladies semi, Wyverns beat Saints 5-1 and will play Corinthians in the grand final. Felicity Parsons, Aidyn Jensen, Grace Parsons, Sam McMahon and Kaycie Gillam scored the goals for the winners. Rach Inmon scored for the women in blue from Saints.
