Highway upgrade sees new lanes opened tonight

REGULAR motorists who use the Pacific Hwy south of Woolgoolga will notice a further traffic change tonight.

The stretch of the Pacific Hwy between Graham Dr and Hearnes Lake Rd is being prepared to have traffic moved on to the new northbound lanes.

The traffic changes will involve motorists being moved onto about three kilometres of new northbound road from about 10.30pm.

Delays of up to 15 minutes may be experienced at the time of the change.

The intersection of Graham Drive and the Pacific Highway will be closed tonight from 7pm for up to six hours while work towards moving the traffic is carried out.

Access will be maintained via the northern end of Graham Drive and local diversions will be in place.

The change will allow further work to continue on the Sapphire to Woolgoolga Pacific Hwy upgrade.

This will be the second traffic move onto new road in recent weeks on the Sapphire to Woolgoolga project and means the project is one step closer to completion.
