'Highly dangerous' man wanted over stabbing death

A STATEWIDE alert has been issued for a heavily-tattooed NSW man wanted over the stabbing death of a Wollongong mother last week.

Linda Stevens, 41, was found with multiple puncture wounds in the boot of her white 2003 Kia sedan Thursday night.

Homicide detectives are hunting 39-year-old Colin Maxwell Farrow, who was last seen in the Illawarra region.

He is described as caucasian, 184cm-190cm tall with a solid build, brown hair and blue/grey eyes.

He has tattoos of a cross on his lower left arm, hinge on his left elbow, crucifix/cross/swastika on his upper night arm and the word "mum" on his right wrist.

Police have described Farrow has "highly dangerous" and have warned members of the public not to approach him but call 000.
