Help pouring in for the family of Scott Snodgrass

OVERWHELMING support is being offered to the family of the late Scott Snodgrass, the father-of-four, who died after an early morning altercation in Coffs Harbour.

A fund set up to benefit his wife Rosie and four children, Eve, 9, Josephine, 7, Sarah, 6, and Archie, 2, this week had received $5000 in donations, with many people pledging to support a benefit night to be held in Scott's honour.

"It really has been tough for Rosie and Scotty's family, with the funeral this week and sadly reality is setting in for everyone," close mate Terry Powick said.

"Scotty was a great guy and would have been the first to help anyone out in this situation.''

Among the local businesses supporting the appeal is the Bailey Centre Mobil, which on Sunday will donate 10 cents in the dollar for every litre of fuel sold through its bowsers.

Terry is organising the dinner in Scott's honour, to be held in about eight weeks, and is collecting donations and sporting memorabilia for a charity auction.

To help call Terry 0403 064 386 and donations can be made to the Scott Snodgrass Fund, Holiday Credit Union BSB 802 214 and account 100164370.
