Health services limited over holidays
PATIENTS will need to use their patience in the coming days if trying to book an appointment with many medical centres closing their doors for the holiday as health care professionals take a hard-earned break.
With reduced opening hours and doctor availability, residents seeking non-urgent medical attention may have to wait until full services resume next week.
All urgent medical conditions should go to the Dalby Hospital.
The Dalby Herald believes the Myall Medical Centre is the only clinic currently taking bookings, and appointments are filling up.
It is understood two doctors are seeing patients on Saturday and seven doctors will be working on Monday
Dalby residents have taken to the Ask Dalby Facebook page to discuss opening hours and appointment availability.
One user said she had no problem getting an appointment at the Myall Medical Centre, although the clinic wouldn't comment on availability.
The Western Downs clinic doesn't have holiday hours listed online, however a sign on the window says the centre is closed until January 2.
Earlier this month the Dalby Medical Centre announced it would permanently close its doors on December 31, and stopped scheduling new appointments on December 21.
