Head shaving for a friend

LORREN Howes has some good friends on the Coffs Coast and on December 4 at least six of them will be shaving their heads and asking for donations to support her recovery from brain surgery.

Cindy Herbert and other supporters have organised a fundraising night for Lorren in the Norm Rowland Lounge at Sawtell RSL, which will include raffles, auctions, live music and lots of fun.

Lorren, who turned 28 in August, will be known by many people from her time behind the counter in the Coles deli in Coffs Harbour. She has a four-year-old son and is currently not able to work because of her surgery.

Lorren is recovering from three operations on a rapidly-growing brain tumour and will not be well enough to attend the night, but will take part through a Skype link-up. Her parents have both taken leave from their jobs to be with her in Sydney and look after her small son.

For more information phone Cindy Herbert on 0413 365 049 or 6658 7518.
