Hartleys opening a bridge to cross

NO matter how much rain there is over the next couple of days, the people who need to drive along Coramba's Hartleys Rd are unlikely to be isolated again.   The official opening of Hartleys Bridge yesterday marked the unveiling of the llongest and largest timber bridge within Coffs Harbour City Council's boundaries.   The new bridge spans an impressive 66 metres and is 3.6m wide.   Most importantly it's also a metre higher than the previous bridge.   Coffs Harbour Mayor, Cr Denise Knight, gladly opened the bridge yesterday that will prove so important to the residents who have been unable to use it in the past when flood waters have risen.
