Hard work paying off as Krystie cleans like a champ
IT DOESN'T matter what industry you work in, if you are willing to work hard, eager to learn and have the right attitude you will exceed your business goals.
That's certainly been the case for Krystie Boyes from Champ Cleaning.
Miss Boyes set up her Coffs Harbour-based business in 2010 and has grown it to employ 15 staff and two subcontractors.
"We provide commercial cleaning to nine different businesses, including Brown and Hurley, C.ex group and Nambucca Heads RSL," Miss Boyes said.
"We're so busy at the moment, thankfully I have my supportive partner, Justin, by my side - he's my rock"
Miss Boyes not only works for and manages the business full-time but is also undertaking a Diploma of Management through ETC to increase her skills.
"It's important to keep up-to-date with technology and legalities when running a business," she said.
"You need to do your research and remain current with how the world is today, so that you don't get left behind."
Miss Boyes is in the process of compiling a comprehensive manual for the business to assist with staff training and compliance.
"This will also put things into place so I can take a step back from the manual labour and focus on the actual management side of things," she said.
"I keep telling myself I want to be retired at 40!"
Miss Boyes has received assistance through ETC's Work Smarter Program, which has helped keep her on track with her planned business growth and has utilised ETC's free recruitment services to find the right staff.
"Two of my long-term employees are from ETC," she said.
"The staff at ETC have been so helpful and supportive. It's very convenient having everything I need for my business in one place."
