Happy in the Woods but Aaron’s not one for the ocean

THE NSW Blues hit the beach this morning for some much needed R&R but don't expect Aaron Woods to be too far from the shore.

The big front-rower might be known for producing waves of powerful hit-ups and awesome yardage, but put him in the water and the result is completely different.

"Come on man," the Wests Tiger said. "I'm flat out swimming."

NSW is based at Blues Harbour this week in preparation for the first State of Origin game at Suncorp Stadium next Wednesday.

The team is enjoying a day off today after a hectic first few days of camp, with much of the squad making it clear it would test the Coffs Coast's reputation for legendary beaches.

"I haven't been at all yet," Woods said. "I've heard good stories so I'm going to go check it out (today)."
