Happy birthday Don Johnson, where's your suit?

DON Johnson, the white-suited star of the American television crime drama Miami Vice, turns 67 today.

Born Donnie Wayne "Don" Johnson on December 15, 1949, the American actor, producer, director, singer and songwriter is probably best known for his portrayal of James "Sonny" Crockett in the 1980s television series Miami Vice.

It was a role that he won a Golden Globe for, and led on to the eponymous lead role in the 1990s cop series Nash Bridges.

What you might not know is that Johnson was the American Power Boat Association's 1988 World Champion of the Offshore World Cup.
 


Johnson has had four wives in five marriages, two of which were annulled within a matter of days.

Most notably he married Melanie Griffiths in January 1976, but they filed for divorce that July.

The couple later reunited and their daughter Dakota Johnson was born in October, 1989. They married once again from that year until 1996.
