POLICE have seized a number of items including drug paraphernalia, ammunition and a firearm following a search of a house at Nimbin.

About 9.30am yesterday, police attached to Richmond Local Area Command attended a home on Bishops Creek Road, where they spoke to a 54-year-old man in relation to a number of outstanding warrants.

Following a short struggle, the man was arrested by police, and whilst at the location investigators allegedly seized a number of items including a loaded firearm, alleged stolen property and drug paraphernalia.

The man was taken to Lismore Police Station where he was subsequently charged in relation to three outstanding warrants as well as possess drug manufacturing apparatus to make prohibited drug, possess unlicensed pistol, posses loaded firearm to endanger life, not keep firearm safe, goods in custody and resist arrest.

He was refused bail and will appear in Lismore Local Court today.
