Guilty plea by Wicks

DANNY Wicks's days as a professional rugby league player appear numbered after he pleaded guilty to three counts of supplying drugs on Friday.

Almost a year after being charged, the 24-year-old entered pleas to three counts of supplying an indictable amount of illegal drugs, including amphetamines and ecstasy.

Four other charges relating to the alleged supply and possession of drugs are to be considered during sentencing.

Wicks will almost certainly be banned from rugby league for four years regardless of what penalty the court imposes.

Danny Wicks's matters are listed for mention in the Newcastle Court on November 11.
