Grubby habit or clever marketing ploy?

OPINION: I'm sure that not everyone who eats McDonald's is a grub but it seems all grubs eat at McDonald's.

My reasoning for this conclusion is the amount of empty (or sometimes partially empty) McDonald's wrappers I see around the area.

The next time you go for a walk or a drive just see for yourselves - McDonald's packaging everywhere.

You don't seem to see many Hungry Jacks, Red Rooster or KFC wrappers/boxes, although you do see the occasional one or two.

Maybe it is because McDonald's sells more products or has a far larger customer base who care little for the environment in which they live.

Can we blame the company for the problem?

Not really, but maybe they should place more emphasis on responsible disposal of the packaging.

Whether that would have any effect on the cretins who throw the rubbish out the car window or just drop it on the ground when they are finished (or partially finished) is doubtful.

Now here's a thought. Maybe some canny marketing guru is actually employing people to drop the packaging everywhere.

That would get the company name in front of a lot of people - just like television, but far cheaper.

No, on second thoughts that wouldn't happen so maybe it really is most of the city's grubs eat at McDonald's.
