Granma's Restaurant closing

AFTER almost two decades the name Granma’s Restaurant will disappear from the Coffs Harbour scene when the Rehwinkel family closes the doors on Sunday, February 20.

Licensee and grandmother-of-two, Ann Rehwinkel said the decision not to renew the lease on the premises at 92 Park Beach Road had been a very difficult and emotional one.

She said the final decision had been based solely on family and other business commitments and had nothing to do with recent problems at Park Beach and the Northside shops area.

Ann said although the hospitality business was very competitive, all the family had thoroughly enjoyed the past eight years.

“The support from local moteliers and the Coffs Harbour public has been overwhelming,” she said.
