Graeme Acton one of four to earn honorary degree from CQU

THE latest Rockhampton graduation ceremony highlights include the conferring of honorary degrees on four remarkable people.

The Honorary Award of Doctor of the University will be conferred posthumously on Graeme Acton to recognise his vital role as an ambassador for the region and Australia's cattle industry.

Charles Ware has earned an Honorary Doctor of the University degree through his legal career, leadership of key community organisations and services as a member of the CQUniversity Council.

Physiotherapist, business woman and philanthropist Megan Morris also served on the CQUni Council and is deserving of the Honorary Award of Companion of the University.

The fourth honorary award is the presentation of Rob Reed for appointment as Emeritus Professor of CQUniversity. Emeritus Professor Reed - a former Pro Vice-Chancellor, prolific textbook author and champion of quality learning and teaching - is also the guest speaker for the ceremony.
