Government services available under one roof
A NEW one-stop Service NSW shop has opened in Coffs Harbour.
The Service NSW Centre incorporates Roads and Maritime Services, Fair Trading, Births, Deaths and Marriages, Housing NSW, Office of State Revenue and NSW Seniors Card.
It is located in the old motor registry office at 32-34 Gordon St.
Service NSW corporate relations advisor Michelle Schofield said that Coffs Harbour's service centre was the 32nd opened across the state, with more still to be established.
The rollout of networks began in July 2013 and the centres have been used by 12 million customers in the past few years.
Ms Schofield said Service NSW covered 800 different government transactions.
"You can get a National Parks permit, renew a boat licence and register a birth all under the one roof," she said.
"The network has been very popular with Fair Trading transactions."
Ms Schofield said the service had had "extraordinary" customer feedback.
"Most people don't know what to expect and when they come in they say 'wow' because there is a concierge to meet them," she said.
Opening hours are Monday-Friday 8.30am-5.30pm and Saturday 8.30am-noon.
