Good to see success for our Matt in Asian race
WARWICK driver Matt Campbell has won the Six Hour Race at Shanghai in China.
He is part of the outstanding Dempsey Team Proton Competition team, which also includes Christian Ried and Julien Andlauer.
It has been another outstanding year for the Warwick driver, who seems to be winning all the time.
People who know motorsport well tell me that what he is doing in Europe and Asia is higher profile than our own V8 Supercars series.
ONE could ask if Abbott Grills is the best polocrosse rider in the men's ranks.
At last month's nationals in Perth, he won the award for best overall horse and rider in the men's competition for the third successive time.
He was riding Berragoon Percussion, a mare he has ridden to three successive best horse and rider awards.
That is a bit like winning three successive Brownlow Medals in AFL.
He is one of four men from the winning New South Wales men's team in the Australian men's section for the World Cup on April 22-28 next year, the others are his cousin Jimmy Grills, Lance Anderson and Will Weston.
IT IS time for the annual Warwick Reunion on December 26 at Allman Park.
While it might not technically be called a reunion, that is exactly what the races are each Boxing Day.
There will be at least seven races and there will be more horses in each race than at a regular meeting. Two extra horses are allowed in each race at a TAB race meeting.
