Gold medalist Sam Bramham evicted from Big Brother

HE'S a champion in the pool, but Paralympian swimmer Sam Bramham won't win Big Brother.

The 26-year-old was evicted from the reality show tonight after failing to garner enough public support.

Bramham was the object of affection for several housemates, from his bromance with Lawson Reeves to Sandra Nixon'scrush on him.

"At the start it was a little bit overwhelming," he said of Sandra.

"I never had to tell her it was uncomfortable because she never crossed that line."

In what housemates thought was a double eviction, Travis Lunardi was "fake" evicted.

Instead Lunardi was sent to The Sanctuary where he met last year's quirky housemate Ben "from Brisbane" Zabel.

Zabel offered to give Lunardi some "homespun wisdom" to help him avoid nomination in future weeks in a challenge he equated to Big Brother's version of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.

"That's going to make Aisha happy," Bramham said.

"He (Travis) was a lot of energy for me to handle… he was fast-paced, boom, boom, boom, and I can see how that would be exciting for everyone."

The real eviction came down to Bramham and magician Lawson, who feared public backlash after spending a night in The Sanctuary with Melbourne midwife Cat Law.

One of the "nice guys" of the house, Bramham received just seven percent of the public vote.
