Goalscoring rampage

THERE were goals galore in the third round of the NCF Men's Premier League.

An average of five goals per team were scored across the five fixtures with Northern Storm's 7-1 demolition of Westlawn and the Lion's 5-2 derby victory the biggest margins.

On Saturday Orara Valley held on against a determined Boambee to notch its second win of the season by coming out on top 3-2.

Maclean secured an early season upset beating an in-form Sawtell 2-1 at home.

The derby clash between the Lions and Tigers had everything for fans.

Four goals from the reigning premiers to open the match set the tone for the clash, however Coffs Coast refused to surrender.

The Tigers managed to claw back two goals in a fiery second half but it wasn't enough as Coffs United returned to top form, now scoring 11 goals in its last two games.
