Glasgow calls fresh Moffatt

IN FORM, injury-free and inspired, proud Woolgoolga girl Emma Moffatt is ready for tonight's grand final of the ITU World Triathlon Series.

Fresh from her victory a fortnight ago in the Hy-Vee event in Iowa, the 29-year-old is hoping to finish her season with a bang as she takes to the same royal triathlon course of Buckingham Palace and Hyde Park that she raced on during the London Olympics.

While it's unlikely Moffatt will grab herself a third world title tonight, there's still plenty of motivation to produce a fine performance.

An automatic place on next year's Australian Commonwealth Games team for Glasgow is the carrot being dangled by the Triathlon Australia selectors in front of Moffatt and her fellow Aussie racers Emma Jackson and Ashleigh Gentle.

Quite simply, if Moffatt finishes in the top eight tonight and is the first Australian across the line, she's on her way to Glasgow.
