Gladstone teen on manslaughter charges after Bundaberg crash

A TEENAGER from Gladstone will face manslaughter charges after two cars collided in Bundaberg on New Year's Day.

It was Queensland's first recorded road death for 2015.

Aside from manslaughter, officers from the Forensic Crash Unit charged the 18-year-old with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing grievous bodily harm.

A 34-year-old Bundaberg man was killed at the scene, on the corner of Branyan and Woondooma streets.

Five people had to be taken to hospital, with a 37-year-old Bundaberg man suffering serious injuries.

The teenager is to face court in Bundaberg today.
