GLADSTONE'S little golden girl Jordyn Lea made her mark in the fashion and beauty world after global magazine Fashion Kids, has labelled her in the top 50 of the world's most beautiful children.
Mum, Alysia Lea entered her daughter into the monthly magazine and was over the moon when her daughter's face lit up one of the pages.
Jordyn got a taste for modelling after taking home first place at the RACQ CQ Model Search for fundraising a significant amount of $4000 for the organisation.
She is now on her way to the national finals of the Aboriginal Model Search held at the Rydges World Square in Sydney October 1.
Alysia said Jordyn has already received so much support from the community including owners of business Runway 7, who will be sponsoring Jordyn's way through the national comp.
"Jordyn and I went and spoke to (the owners of) Runway 7 yesterday, they have gone above and beyond to help with the organisation of outfits, training and more," she said.
"Which is amazing because I am out of my depth for this competition, as its pretty big."
On October 1, Alysia said Jordyn will have a 'massive' day ahead of her, with rehearsals starting as early as 9 am.
"Then (there will be a) 4 pm media launch and interviews outside (the) Ridges World Square, the show kicks off at 5pm," she said.
There will be three outfit changes for Jordyn including a cultural outfit of her own design, a white cocktail dress and finally, a full length ball gown; judged in two age groups of juniors and seniors.
The top 10 from both age groups will be asked questions in front of the audience, where the winner will walk away with up to $3000 worth of prizes.
"We are very proud of her," Alysia said.
"And she is just as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside.
"I think that Jordyn has the ability to be something great... Keeping her grounded and modest is very important to us.
"Every time she enters something I tell her, 'you can't always win and that is okay ... and to think of it as practice' because each time you get a little bit better."
