Girls garage party

LADIES, strap on your helmet and zip up your jacket, a women’s only garage party is just around the corner.

Karissa Beaton and Heather Wilson are the brains behind the operation that will teach women motorbike safety and maintenance.

“We’re also trying to build some confidence,” Ms Beaton said.

Both women enjoy riding motorcycles, Ms Beaton has a Ducati 1198S and Ms Wilson has a Harley- Davidson Heritage Soft Tail Classic.

The Ducati offers Ms Beaton more fun than a car.

“Harley is really pushing ladies’ events,” she said.

“They declared March and April ladies’ months.”

As well as the garage party on April 15, a ladies’ ride to Nymboida Coaching Station for lunch on Thursday, April 18, will be led by the North Coast V-Twins ladies.

Bookings are essential for the garage party for catering purposes. To book your place phone 6650 4211 or email karissa@v-twins.com.au.
