Ghosts put cleaners through Axemen as teams pile on points

ALL THE team's points were scored by new recruits but Orara Valley was still no match for rampaging Grafton Ghosts in the Group 2 feature match at Frank McGuren Field.

The Axemen looked lethargic as they took the field and were lacklustre for the duration, eventually going down 52-10.

However, they did manage to stun the home team with a freakish runaway try to Mal Webster Jr in the first three minutes but began making errors galore for the rest of the section.

Orara's forwards struggled to match it physically and mentally with the Ghosts' big boppers and their outside men were no match for the speed of the Ghosts backline.

The first Grafton try was registered by Lower Clarence convert James Hughes who crashed across the try line through some tired Axemen forwards.

The only low point was losing Matt Muller with a lower leg complaint and a momentary lapse in concentration late in the match when Steve Walker bustle his way over for Orara's second try.

Round three

Grafton d Orara Valley 52-10

South Grafton d Nambucca Heads 26-22

Coffs Harbour d Bellinger Valley-Dorrigo 62-16

Woolgoolga d Macksville 32-24
