Letter to the Editor - November 26: Get rid of the middle man

IT IS ABOUT time that we abolished the electricity retailers and paid our bills directly to the people who produce the electricity.

This is the way that it was done in the past until the politicians discovered that by using the current methods they would be able to move from politics to a position on a corporate board upon their retirement as is the case of many boards, two examples being Coles and Woolworths.

It is a type of payola for services rendered.

If the retailers were removed such as the "middle man", there would be a huge cut in your electricity bills.
