Get ready for the ‘mother of all high pressure systems’

DON'T pack away the t-shirts and shorts just yet.

While there's rain predicted for the Coffs Coast this weekend, rather than getting the winter clothes out of the wardrobe we should be preparing for what Weatherzone is describing as the mother of all high pressure systems.

"With weather patterns more reminiscent of spring conditions ... eastern Australia is definitely not feeling like winter is near," Weatherzone explains in a statement on its website.

"A cold front will work its way across southeast Australia over the coming days.

"Temperatures, however, will only dip briefly before what appears to be the mother of all high pressure systems grows to cover almost the whole of the continent by the end of the week.

"Generally clear skies will accompany the high of all highs, allowing the eastern cities to stay warmer during the day than usual."
