Get back to 1950s concert

SENIORS who live in the Oxley electorate can collect free tickets to enjoy the greatest hits of the 1950s at the Sydney Entertainment Centre next month.

The 2011 Premier’s Seniors Week Gala Concerts will be held on Monday, March 21, and free tickets are available for the 10.30am and 2.30pm sessions.

The gala is part of NSW Seniors’ Week celebrations with events across the State to mark the valuable contributions seniors make to the community.

Oxley MP Andrew Stoner said the tickets would be distributed to qualifying seniors who were prepared to make their own way to Sydney.

“These concerts are very popular with seniors and tickets are highly sought after so I urge all those interested to contact the Oxley electorate office as soon as possible,” Mr Stoner said.

“The tickets are free to eligible seniors who live in the Oxley electorate, however, travel to Sydney is at the ticket-holder’s own expense.”

Seniors who would like to attend the 2011 Premier’s Seniors Week Gala Concerts in Sydney should contact the Oxley Electorate Office on 6562 6190.

The Oxley electorate includes areas in Bellingen, Dorrigo, Kempsey, Macksville, Nambucca Heads, South West Rocks and Wauchope.
