Garage sale to help pay Bryce's medical bills

GRAFTON woman Bianca Monaghan is putting on a garage sale to raise funds for Bryce Cranney, who she used to look after when he was a baby.

Bryce, 7, has spina bifida and will need surgeries in the future.

He had his first surgery for spina bifida to de-tether his spinal cord when he was one.

At the beginning of last year his condition began to worsen.

Mrs Monaghan said she used to look after Bryce when he was about 12 months old when his mother Tara McLennan returned to work.

"He was such a gorgeous kid to look after, he was no trouble at all," Mrs Monaghan said.

"And they an adorable family. We just want to raise money for Bryce."

Mrs Monaghan said her friend Suzi Eggins was already having a sale, so they had put their heads together and organised a combined sale.

A Little Man stall - clothing for boys aged five and under, and a Love x Two stall - baby wraps, handmade cushions and crafted pots, will be there on the day.

On May 30 the Coutts Crossing Coronation Hall will have a fundraiser for Bryce.

The $20 ticket gets four bands and a meal.

Money raised will go to Bryce's mounting medical costs.
