GALLERY: USQ displays the innovation of engineering students
UNIVERSITY of Southern Queensland mechanical and electrical engineering Associate Professor Alexander Kist said it was great to see the innovation of the external engineering students displayed this week.
The efforts of 25 students were the subject of the Engineering and Built Environment Student Project Showcase on Tuesday night.
More than 500 students, industry representatives and USQ academics attended to speak with the students and view a poster explaining their practical problem of choice.
"The showcase provided the students a fantastic opportunity to meet with people in the industry," Professor Kist said.
Around 200 students are completing their final year projects covering 13 majors in a number of discipline areas including spatial science, mechanical, civil and electrical engineering.
