Walk for Jhett raises $3000

WALK for Jhett has been touted as a complete success.

The family fun day on Saturday has left family friend Rebecca Herrity with a ‘warm and fuzzy’ feeling after the community got together to raise more than $3000 for seriously ill, five-year-old Jhett Vout.

“The day was just magic,” Mrs Herrity said.

The brains behind the operation, Hannah Smith, did a wonderful job co-ordinating a fun walk and family entertainment at Brelsford Park to help raise money for the youngster and to convert a room in the family home into a ‘hospital ward’.

Jhett’s mum Marti made a surprise visit to join her husband, Brendan, and daughter, Xanthine, for the day. Mrs Vout gave a moving speech on Jhett’s fight for health.
