Funding applications close Friday for Coffs tourism ideas

COFFS Coast tourism industry providers have until Friday to apply for contestable funding under the NSW Government's Regional Visitor Economy Fund (RVEF).

The fund has $3.5 million available and aims to double NSW overnight visitor expenditure by 2020.

The Nationals Member for Coffs Harbour, Andrew Fraser, said the NSW Government's Visitor Economy Industry Action Plan, is a fantastic opportunity for the regional tourism industry to apply for funding that the NSW Government will match tourism projects on a dollar-for-dollar basis.

"The program provides a platform for the Coffs Harbour electorate tourism industry to expand its offerings and promote their destination to a wider audience," he said.

"Our region has plenty of tourism offerings that could benefit from increased marketing and development opportunities.

"I encourage all operators not to miss out and lodge their applications by Friday, June 13."

All applications must be submitted online.
