BIG BAND: The Coffs Harbour Musical Comedy Company is swinging its way back to the 1940s.

Full swing to the big band sound

ARE YOU a fan of vintage clothing and the big band sound?

Then the Coffs Harbour Musical Comedy Company has the event for you on Saturday, August 1.

Its 2015 Gala Arts event will be a 1940s-style Swing Dance, featuring the biggest of big bands: The Big-Big Boogie Band.

"Last year's Bush Dance at the Coffs Harbour Showgrounds was so much fun, but this year we'll be dancing to the music of the 1940s big band era," secretary Di O'Ferrall said.

"This is an excuse to wear your best vintage finery.

"The dance is open to all; members, friends, families and the general public - in fact anyone who wants to come along and have a good time."

Included in the ticket price is a sausage sizzle and tea and coffee. BYO alcohol.

The sausage sizzle starts at 6.30pm, with the band starting at 7pm.

Tickets are only $20 per head, with a family ticket (2 adults and 2 children) for $50.

Tickets are only available online at trybooking.com/HLN.
