Coffs fuel prices should have been lower

THE news that fuel prices are set to fall as oil prices worldwide plunge, can only be good for Coffs Coast motorists.

The national average price of unleaded petrol has already fallen to $1.50 a litre, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum but it is set to fall even further.

For the past few weeks country NSW drivers have been slugged at the pump as oil giants rort the system.

Across the globe fuel prices have steadily fallen in line with the price of a barrel of oil - now at around $75.

Here in Australia we have been denied the benefits of such price reductions.

Now though, it appears the message has hit home and the cost of a litre of fuel is set to fall.

The national average price could fall by as much as 10 cents a litre.

And that's good news for all Coffs Coast residents.
