Fresh talent at the markets

HEAD down to the Harbourside Markets this Sunday for a great show from some local up-and-coming talent.

As part of Youth Week celebrations, Harbourside Markets are holding a Youth Open Mic Day at their weekly markets.

In a different twist from their usual live entertainment, organiser Kim Towner is allowing young performers the chance to get up on stage and show Coffs audiences what they've got.

“It's not just musicians, it's all kinds of acts. We will be having a breakdancer,” Kim said.

Beginning at 10am, seven local acts will be performing, and according to Kim, there's some great talent to be seen.

“Some of these kids are only 15, but they're amazing. There'll be all types of music too,” she said.
