Fraser to meet and get out facts

AFTER the creditors’ protest in Coffs Harbour, Housing Minister Frank Terenzini challenged Coffs Harbour MP Andrew Fraser to meet with him today and get all the facts on the issue.

“I personally doubt Mr Fraser has the ticker, but in the interests of getting everyone on the same page and in the interests of the sub-contactors the best thing he can do is put down his megaphone and meet me in my Sydney office,” Mr Terenzini said.

Never one to back down from a challenge, Mr Fraser cancelled his appointments for today and booked a flight to Sydney.

“I can go to the mountain, but can the mountain go to Mohammed?” Mr Fraser said.

“He needs to come and meet with the local creditors. I question whether he has the ticker to do that.”

Mr Terenzini said Mr Fraser’s “reckless scattergun” statements were actually doing more harm than good when it came to helping the sub-contractors, but he was a politician and he was desperate for media attention.

“His silence has been deafening,” Mr Fraser countered.

“One can see in his statement that nothing in the Labor Government has changed after Premier Kristina Keneally apologised for her self-indulgent and arrogant government.

“This issue is about people, when I’m down there I’ll extend the challenge for the minister to come to Coffs Harbour.”
