Four deaths under investigation

NSW homicide detectives are investiging four grisly deaths in two weeks.

Most recently, crime tape was placed around a home in western Sydney after a man's body was discovered in the back bedroom on Monday evening. The cause of death is still unknown.

On Thursday afternoon a woman's body was found buried on a property on the outskirts of Sydney.

Police discovered the shallow grave while searching for evidence linked to a break and enter at Lakesland last month.

A 22-year-old woman had already been charged with stealing guns and jewellery but after police discovered the body of missing woman Colleen Deborah Ayers, four more people were arrested.

A 31-year-old man was charged with murder and aggravated break and enter while a 21-year-old man was also charged with stealing offences.

A 38-year-old man and teenage girl were released pending further investigation.

Earlier in the week a man told police he had found his father's body in his western Sydney home.

The Friday before, a woman's body was pulled from a burned-out home in Grafton.

A 47-year-old man has been charged with her murder and two counts of damaging a property by fire.

Investigations into all four deaths are continuing.
