STORM fullback Billy Slater says Kieran Foran would be the perfect man to replace Cooper Cronk at the Melbourne club.
Cronk says he will move from Melbourne at the end of the season to be closer to fiancee Tara Rushton.
Warriors five-eighth Foran, too, is off contract at the end of the 2017 campaign and has also said he wanted to be closer to his children in Sydney.
The New Zealand international had been tipped to join the Bulldogs but has also been linked to the Storm after Cronk's departure was announced.
Slater said he thought Foran would be the right fit for the club's attacking structure.
"Of the guys that are off contract ... Probably a Kieran Foran," Slater said on Nine's Footy Show after asked whho he thought should replace Cronk.
"I think he would suit the style of play down in Melbourne.
"Just the directness that he plays with would certainly suit our style of football as well."
Slater was also asked if he had thought about his own playing future after his lengthy spell on the sidelines with a shoulder problem.
"It's been on my mind," Slater said.
"I'm not too sure, I wasn't even thinking of anything past this year.
"But back playing now, I'm really enjoying my football and I just want to get a few more games under my belt and if the opportunity comes up to play next year, I will look at that."
