For the love of vintage

I'M going to sound like one of those tossers, but here goes anyway. I have always, I mean always, loved vintage.

From as soon as I was out there shopping for myself, I was trawling the op shops and markets.

Naturally, part of that was because it was all I could afford.

When I was at university, I haunted the inner city op shops and markets in Sydney.

I even had a stall at Paddington markets, reselling vintage finds that for one reason or another I was happy to let go of.

Those were the days (I dream of them) when you could find a 1920s beaded ball gown in a country op shop for 50 cents, I kid you not.

This region (because we're all so fabulous) has an abundance of vintage clothing outlets.

The markets and the number of vintage clothing shops are testament to that. Interestingly, some of the major online outlets such as ASOS now sell vintage. Visit the ASOS website here.
