Food distributor reopens in Coffs Harbour
FAMILY-owned and operated wholesale food distributor PFD Food Services has reopened in Coffs Harbour.
The branch in Wingara Dr is being relaunched as a fully stocked and operational warehouse and will complement the existing fleet of five trucks which deliver wholesale food orders between Wooli and Nambucca Heads.
The branch will offer a full range of frozen and chilled products along with dry goods, fresh meats and seafood.
Through PFD Foodservices national network, customers will have access to more than 2000 product lines from more than 60 food companies.
To support the reopening, PFD have invested in the employment of additional experienced staff to oversee operations.
Long-time sales rep Robert Walters, who has been appointed branch manager, said the branch will start with 12 staff in total.
"Hopefully, we will be able to add more warehouse and driving positions as we get busy," Mr Walters said. "It's great for Coffs and the community that PFD are creating local jobs and investment with local service providers."
The food supply company will stage a Food Fair at the Coffs Harbour Racing Club on Tuesday.
This will feature the product of 40 suppliers between 11am and 6pm.
