Flying stars head for Hong Kong

A PAIR of Coffs Coast aerial artists are taking their high flying act overseas when they leave today for a special performance in Hong Kong.

Australian Institute of Circus Arts director Jasmine Moreno and student Letina Hutchison fly out of Australia today to perform at a luncheon for high court judges in Hong Kong on Wednesday.

Jasmine will be performing on the lyra, or aerial hoop, while Letina will perform on the aerial silks.

Both circus artists are excited by the opportunity.

“It's good for exposure and experience,” Jasmine said.

“But it's also great for Letina - I've been telling her that she has the potential to perform overseas.”
