Flooded Gums wine list toast of the industry

BONVILLE International Golf Resort has done it again has long been recognised for the exceptional food at its Flooded Gums Restaurant, and now it has the award to prove its wine list is just as impressive.

Proving they have some of the best wines in the state, Flooded Gums was the only restaurant from Foster to Byron Bay to be awarded with a 'wine goblet' at the Fine Wine Partners 2008 Wine List of the Year Awards.

It comes after Flooded Gums claimed the Northern Region Restaurant and Catering Association's Best Regional Wine List award for the second consecutive year last month.

Supervisor Phil Caldicott said the award strengthens the resort's reputation for great food and wine on the Coffs Coast.

“It's always been out intention to get a wine goblet at these awards, it's been one of our goals,” he said.

“And this award really compliments the food awards we have won in the past. We do choose our wine list with the menu in mind.”

General manager Brad Daymond said it was just one more step in providing an exceptional all-round experience for tourists and locals alike.

“At Bonville it's not just about the golf, or the food, but about an all-round exceptional experience,” he said.
