Andrew Flintoff ready to turn up the Heat with Brisbane

ANDREW Flintoff will continue his cricketing comeback in Australia after it was confirmed the former England captain had signed to play in the Big Bash League with the Brisbane Heat.

Flintoff, 36, returned to the game in the northern summer, helping Lancashire Lightning to the T20 final in the English competition.

The all-rounder will renew acquaintances with Heat coach Stuart Law, who he played with at Lancashire in the 1990s.

"I'm excited to be coming back to Australia and especially to Brisbane which has always been a favourite spot of mine to play," said Flintoff (pictured), who will arrive in December.

"Stuart and I have had a few conversations and I'm clear on what we're looking to achieve in the competition."

Flintoff, who will also work with Network Ten during the BBL, has signed to play the back half of the season with the Heat.
