Firefighters ready for big day

THE boots and uniforms will be immaculate and the fire trucks will be gleaming for Saturday’s major event at Rural Fire Service headquarters in Coffs Harbour.

Firefighters across the Mid North Coast will converge on the fire control centre in Aviation Drive when the RFS will take delivery of seven new tankers and will present some 30 medals to volunteers to recognise long service.

The Coffs Harbour and Bellingen mayors and other councillors are due to attend along with the Member for Coffs Harbour, Andrew Fraser.

The Coffs Coast Advocate will be there to bring you all the coverage.
