A NAMBUCCA Heads man has been charged with firearm offences.

Police searched a Nissan Patrol at a supermarket car park in the Toronto town centre, and seized a loaded firearm, a pocket-knife, and ammunition.

The man, 46, was arrested at the scene and taken to Toronto Police Station and was subsequently charged with three counts of driving while disqualified, two counts of possessing a knife in public, possessing a loaded firearm, possessing an unregistered firearm, not keeping a firearm safely, and possessing ammunition for a firearm.
