Farm gate produce with a twist

FORGET the humble tomato stand, Aaron and Sam Mihelffy are introducing a new twist on selling produce at the farm gate.

With the aim of promoting locally grown produce and products, the family-run farm "Me-Healthy" at 147 Upper Orara Rd, Karangi will have the gates thrown open on Sunday, July 22.

"We have come together with other local growers in an effort to provide a place where local farmers can showcase their goods," Aaron said.

"The grand opening will be July 22 and everyone is welcome to come along and see what we're all about.

"We'll have music, cake and coffee and plenty of great locally grown produce as well as some special handmade items including crystal jewellery, goats milk soaps and scented candles."

Me-Healthy will be open Fridays and Sundays 10am to 2pm from July 22 onwards.
