Family remembers guy who 'liked to make everybody laugh'

KEN Jack's family will miss his larrikin ways and sense of humour.

Mackay born and bred, 43-year-old Mr Jack died on Mackay-Eungella Rd on Monday night while riding his beloved motorcycle.

Sister Tara Richardson said her brother liked to make everybody laugh.

"He was a practical joker, good fun, he got on with everybody," she said.

"He just absolutely loved his fishing, every opportunity he had to go fishing he would go - I think they were probably his best times."

Ms Richardson said it didn't matter how long between visits there were for the siblings, every time it felt like no time had passed.

Mr Jack's partner of five years, Megan Britton, said she would fondly remember their happy holidays and time spent camping together.

"He liked the simple life," she said.

"He liked a bit of gardening and building stuff around the house.

"I'll miss just spending time at home chilling."

Youngest sister Lana Mason said Mr Jack loved and was proud of his two children, Aimee, 19, and Brody, 16.

They would particularly miss their dad who they loved very much, she said.

While talking about her brother, Mrs Mason reminisced about happier times spent at Mackay Harbour, with Mr Jack and his best mate Royce Raines, where the group of friends would talk about and swap cars.

"I remember growing up, I was only little, and I would spend many Saturday nights with him at the harbour- it was known as the Harbour Crew," Mrs Mason said.

Mr Jack will be sorely missed by all his loved ones, family and friends alike.

Almost ironically, Mr Jack lived and died just like his namesake, his uncle Kenny, who also died in a motorcycle accident.

The family agreed their son, brother, father and partner lived by the motto on his favourite shirt; "Rebel born, rebel loved; when I die I'll be rebel dead."
