Family fun benefits Vic bushfire appeal

COFFS Harbour, here is your chance to enjoy a rockin', family-friendly day out for a good cause.

The Coffs Caring Community Concert for the Victorian bushfire victims will be at the showgrounds on Saturday, March 14, from noon to 8pm.

Eight different local musical acts will take to the Woodlands Stage under the trees at the back of the showgrounds, playing for 45 minutes each.

Local bush fire brigades have been invited to cook and sell barbecue food and there will also be soft drinks and water available.

Patrons are invited to bring along their own food and drinks and enjoy a showcase of local talent including Apewire, Hot Cargo, Mad As A Hatter, Shaggpile, Brutt 66, Beztafriendz, Bender and Gusto.

The concert itself will cost $10 for adults (more than 16 years of age), $5 for children less than 16 years of age, and a gold coin donation for children under 10 years of age.

All gatetakings will be donated to the Red Cross Victorian Bushfire Fund. Security at the event will be provided by Kustom Security and Country Security.

If you would like to find out more, help out at the event, or provide any other forms of entertainment or ways of making the concert a greater success, phone Bill Trembath, 0421 000 617 or Evan McMillan, 0400 453 757.
