Family friend first at crash scene

TERRY Allen was first on the scene of yesterday’s smash at Emerald Beach and was shocked to discover the injured were family friends.

“It happened two or three minutes before I got there,” said Terry, who lives at Emerald Beach.

“Tori was crying and shaking and she was rubbing her mum’s tummy. Sue’s car seat was leaning back and she was hyper-ventilating and shaking.

“I asked her where she was hurt and she said her chest and that she couldn’t breathe.

“The car had come off the road and hit a guard rail.

“I leant in and held her hand and I called her husband.

“She’d calmed down pretty much by the time the emergency services arrived.”
