Letter to the Editor - April 23: Fair go for the drivers

IT'S very strange times indeed when we have workers (truck drivers) protesting and demonstrating to receive lower pay and work longer hours - the large retailers must be laughing their heads off.

All things being equal, if they achieve their objective somebody must pay the price and I fear the cost will be more road accidents as truck drivers work longer behind the wheel to make up for the lower pay they are fighting for.

The Transport Workers Union is 100% correct in opposing this madness.
